I'm interested in volunteering with CPS in the following capacity:(Required)

Committee participation: join one of our active committees or initiatives. Committees typically meet monthly on a weeknight, and may include project work between meetings. Participation requires an active CPS membership.

Event support: help make our signature events successful. Opportunities range from house sitting at the House Tour to supporting neighborhood clean ups.

Historic research: collaborate with fellow volunteers on deep-dive projects documenting Charlestown's historic homes and buildings.

Board of directors: provide organizational leadership and strategic guidance through bi-monthly board meetings October through April, as well as active committee participation.

I have professional skills or knowledge in these areas that I'd like to share:

Preservation, architecture and urban planning: knowledge of historic preservation principles, architectural history, design review, zoning or city planning processes.

Fundraising and sponsorship: experience cultivating donors, corporate partnerships, or sponsorship relationships.

Grant writing: researching funding opportunities and writing compelling grant proposals

Event planning and logistics: coordinating volunteers and programs, managing vendors, or event production.

Communications and marketing: social media management, newsletter writing and blogging, graphic design, website management, or collateral production

Membership and volunteer management: database management, member engagement, renewal strategies, or community outreach.

Tour leadership: leading walking tours focused on Charlestown's architecture and history (training provided).

Estimated time commitment you're able to offer:
