Love Your Block Neighborhood Cleanup

Join the Preservation Society as we participate in The City of Boston’s Love Your Block initiative to clean up the neighborhood. The initiative fosters community engagement and helps make neighborhoods cleaner and more beautiful. Previously known as “Boston Shines,” the initiative encourages residents and community groups to join forces and take extra care of their neighborhoods. We’ll meet at Preservation Park at the corner of Austin and Main Street to pick up all materials and supplies, then groups will be dispatched to specific areas in need of clean up.

Each spring, Bostonians across neighborhoods come together to demonstrate their community pride and commitment. Participating in Love Your Block is a meaningful way to connect with neighbors, enjoy the outdoors, and see the tangible impact of collective action. It’s a rewarding experience that strengthens communities while helping keep Boston beautiful.

We’ll meet at Preservation Park at the corner of Austin and Main Streets to pick up supplies and break into groups. Then each group will be dispatched to specific areas in need of clean up.

Please bring water, sunscreen and your own gloves. Neighbors of all ages are welcome.
